  12. Hello Amiga users.

  14. I am not knowledgable in Amiga hardware, and need help finding
  15. hardware for a friend of mine in another country. I make the purchase,
  16. and will send it to him via traveling relatives. They leave soon,
  17. so I am in a rush!

  19. He wants to buy a 200+ MB SCSI HD for his A3000, and was ready to purchase
  20. a Quantum LPS 210S from a store in the US (for $659!). I told him that they
  21. have come out with the much improved LPS 240S, but he was told by the salesman 
  22. that the 240 will NOT work with the A3000. Can anyone confirm or deny this? He
  23. says that he would rather be safe with the 210 than gamble with the 240 since 
  24. returning it will be extremely difficult. I suspect the salesman is trying to
  25. clear out an obsolete model.

  27. In any case, I cannot find a NEW 210S anywhere. Can anyone give me a source
  28. for this drive, or another brand SCSI drive in the 200MB range that is known 
  29. ot work with the A3000?

  31. 2nd thing: He wants a monitor to go with his computer, and was looking
  32. at the Sony CPD1302 and CPD1304. Can anyone tell me the difference?
  33. I think the 1302 has 640x480 resolution and may be interlaced, as
  34. opposed to the 1304 with 1024x768 and NI. Will both of these monitors
  35. work with the A3000? Any suggestions for multi-sync monitors?
