- Nope. In this case they are correct. The last physical device on
- EITHER END of the SCSI bus should have the termination. I was looking
- at my HCII/+8 and the way the drive is connected up and the way the
- external port goes off board is wrong as far as the SCSI termination
- goes. The short cable that connects the internal drive is not
- terminated on the drive end. To use an external device properly with
- ,at least in my case, the HCII/+8 I should remove the termination on
- the card, terminate the internal drive and terminate the LAST PHYSICAL
- device that is external to the controller. You SHOULD do it this way
- but you dont HAVE to UNTIL you start to push the speed of the SCSI
- bus. Then I bet you'll start to get R/W errors from the internal drive
- because of reflection off the unterminated end.
