- I'm not sure but I think the A590 include a MFM Controller. You need one
- to put the HD on the A500. Most MFM-Controllers can handle 2 HD's. Read at
- first your A590 Manual if they write something about a ST506 Connector.
- If there is a MFM-Controller inside, there belongs 3 Connectors to them.
- A 34 pin connector (2 rows a 17 pins) and 2 * 20 pin connector (2 rows
- a 10 pins). You need 1 or 2 new cables:
-
-
- Controller Drive1 Drive2
- 34Pin-----------------+-----------------+
- 20Pin (1)--------------+
- 20Pin (2)--------------------------------+
-
- Sometimes the 34 pin Cable is already prepared to handle 2 Drives (you need
- the second connector ). In every case you need the second 20pin cable.
- Take care that your 2'nd HD is jumpered on DRIVE 1 (your first HD will be
- jumpered on DRIVE 0). Don't forget the power supply.
