- I have just talked to Digital Micronics about the literature I picked up
- at the Tulsa Amiga Users Group meeting over the weekend. Their brochure
- implies that they were working on DMI-Render software that would accept
- objects and scenes from other renderers. In reality, they seem to have
- abandoned that approach for soliciting ports of existing rendering
- software to their hardware. How hard would it be to port existing native
- 680x0 rendering software to 32020 (with coprocessors)?
-
- The General Manager also spoke of another KILLER product - a hardware
- compressor based on JPEG that will compress RGB images at a 30:1 ratio and
- play them back off the hard drive in REAL TIME. This one could be really
- interesting...
