- Using the FREECOPY hack to get Neuromancer running from my HD, the game ran
- fine until I tried to enter cyberspace, whereupon it just froze. I've read
- that this has been experienced by several other people, but I never read a
- solution to the problem. Until now.....
- FREE UP MORE CHIP RAM!!
- My system (A1000, 512K Agnus) gives about 383K after fully booting up into
- WB1.3, with all sorts of ancillary programs loaded. This was insufficent, and
- the game froze. Breaking into the startup-sequence early on and starting the
- game from CLI with around 425K chip ram available - no problem!! I'm inspired
- to go back and finish the damn thing now, but I should have thought of this
- ages ago :-(
-
- Hope this helps somebody, apologies if it's been posted before and I missed
- it.
