  18. You are not powerful enough. Sometimes there are scrolls lying around.
  19. Look for a level 13 or so (or maybe higher) scroll of remove glyphs.
  20. It works for these barriers. (Sounds like you're talking of the entrance
  21. to the Thieve's Guild).
