- I program PFiles in C, and don't see what is wrong. One of the good things is
- that there isn't much of an interface, so you can get some decent speed.
- Occasionally he does things that make my code incompatable, so I change it,
- but no complaints. I consider this to be the price of using the power of C.
- The ARexx stuff has remained pretty compatable all along. (Although changing
- the colors in 2.0 was STUPID!)

- I don't see what the problem with this is... His users run many differant
- kinds of setups, much more than he could do by himself on Future World. This
- is much preferable to not taking any input from users, and going with what he
- thinks is right. This results in a new version every week or so, but it is an
- option to go with it or not... I tend to stay a few versions behind, and
- upgrade once a month or so.

-
- The message structure was due to the limited number of files that could be
- kept on C=64 disks... it may be similar to apple programs, but I belive they
- had the same limitations. How many IBM BBSs use that hidious 'thread' system?
- Does this mean that they all copied from each other?
-

-
- What skypix code? All it does is display SkyPix commands, the user's terminal
- does all the work. And SkyPix is dead, in any case.

- > Can we say "Skyline" rip off?
-
- The manual does not say that he took the _code_ from skyline, it says he uses
- the same _COMMANDS_ (with extensions), to give compatability with SkyPix
- Pfiles. I don't think this is bad, it would be nice if doors would work on
- more than one system, like IBM doors do.

-
- I may be wrong on this one, but I thought this was because XPR libraries are
- not all residentable.
-

-
- What do you mean? It seems to work like a shell for me! The only thing it
- can't do is previous commands, and this is because he filters the ESC from
- input.
-

-
- He liked the way another system did messages, and conferance, so he made his
- similar, and that _was_ a rip? I don't understand...
-
- You have made some interesting points, and I must agree that some are correct
- (I saw the copyright notice in the AUX handler, and that C does look awfully
- familier, I wish he'd use an app-icon under 2.0). Even if he did 'borrow' some
- stuff, most of it is his, and I still think it is one of the best systems
- available.
