- I recently purchased a used 9600 modem from the net, but I'm having a small
- problem and looking for some HELP! I believe the modem is good, but something
- certainly seems to be wrong...
-
- During a normal screen display, the modem/'pute 'stalls' and seems to say...
- "I've got everything that *should* be on the screen, but I'm not gonna show
- all of it to you until you press another key."
-
- At this point I can either press the spacebar or wait for 3-4 seconds for the
- screen to finish its display on its own. THIS is 9600? Naw...can't be(!),
- but that's what the termware says during the 'CONNECT'. Heck, the 2400 mode
- is faster...no delay/stall! What's wrong?
-
- Setup:
-
- Stock A1000 with 2meg.
- JRComm (reg)
- Okidata 9600 (OEM?)
-
- Things I've tried...Compression (MNP - on/off), prefs (2400/9600/>9600),
- termware (smooth scroll on/off), RTS/CTS (prefs and modem), AT\N0-AT\N7,
- (ARGH!!!), 2-8 colors, yelling in anger...gibbering in defeat...HELP!
-
- You may reply or e-mail me at the mental ward. <joking!>
