  28. It's still a while away unfortunately. But the end is in sight, finally.

  30. The source will not be released, unless someone can come up with lots of
  31. dollars to compensate for the 2 years of effort. This may make me sound
  32. terribly commercial, but look at it this way: if I get lots of dollars, I'll
  33. be able to quit my job to work full time on MUD, Empire, Draco, whatever,
  34. and thus finish things much faster.

  36. I would guess around $100.00 for the full server package (with >100 pages
  37. of docs, full source for the standard scenario, etc.) and under $50.00 for
  38. the client-only package. (And of course no cost if you just want a text
  39. interface to an AmigaMUD that someone else is running.)

  41. I've had a bit of spare time at work, and wanted to learn about using UNIX
  42. sockets, so I've written what I call 'ToyMUD' on UNIX. It's about 3000 lines
  43. of source for the client and server, complete with a programming language.
  44. I plan to do an Amiga port for this, and will release the combined sources.
