- It's still a while away unfortunately. But the end is in sight, finally.
-
- The source will not be released, unless someone can come up with lots of
- dollars to compensate for the 2 years of effort. This may make me sound
- terribly commercial, but look at it this way: if I get lots of dollars, I'll
- be able to quit my job to work full time on MUD, Empire, Draco, whatever,
- and thus finish things much faster.
-
- I would guess around $100.00 for the full server package (with >100 pages
- of docs, full source for the standard scenario, etc.) and under $50.00 for
- the client-only package. (And of course no cost if you just want a text
- interface to an AmigaMUD that someone else is running.)
-
- I've had a bit of spare time at work, and wanted to learn about using UNIX
- sockets, so I've written what I call 'ToyMUD' on UNIX. It's about 3000 lines
- of source for the client and server, complete with a programming language.
- I plan to do an Amiga port for this, and will release the combined sources.
