  18. If you can comprehend 68000 assembly code, complete source code to
  19. Protracker (1.something) is available. Can't recall the location; look for
  20. something like PTSOURCE.LHA (or was it an LZH file?).
  21. And ftp the executable while you're at it, so you can find an Amiga-owning
  22. friend and see how the program's supposed to work.
  23. Be warned, the authors of Protracker admit that their playroutine is NOT
  24. very fast or optimized, and it's typical 'tracker cargo-cult code, using
  25. the same damn busy-wait to let the DMA channels clear up. (But that's
  26. peculiarities of the Amiga's audio hardware, anyway...)
