- If you can comprehend 68000 assembly code, complete source code to
- Protracker (1.something) is available. Can't recall the location; look for
- something like PTSOURCE.LHA (or was it an LZH file?).
- And ftp the executable while you're at it, so you can find an Amiga-owning
- friend and see how the program's supposed to work.
- Be warned, the authors of Protracker admit that their playroutine is NOT
- very fast or optimized, and it's typical 'tracker cargo-cult code, using
- the same damn busy-wait to let the DMA channels clear up. (But that's
- peculiarities of the Amiga's audio hardware, anyway...)
