- I have also been using 5.02 to back up my hard drives. It has worked quite
- well, and been quite reliable. I read another post on this thread by Ed
- Hanway, whose experience has been less positive. I recently reorganized my
- hard drives using 5.02 as the backup media. I re-partitioned, re-formatted,
- and restored files from my Tape Drive (all under 5.02). I then had a problem
- on one of my new partitions and backed it up and restored it again (all under
- 5.02) and it has worked without error. I did not compress the backups, as
- I had 120 Meg of Data and a 160 Meg tape drive, but I have done tests on
- compression backups to disc and those have gone quite well.
-
- Oh yes, my hardware setup is A2000 with Fusion Forty, IVS Trumpcard Pro,
- Teac-255 Tape drive, Quantum 105lps and Syquest 88 Meg drives.
