- * Notice * 13 July 1992
-
- I must regretfully inform the Amiga community that TTR Development, Inc.
- with exception to product support and company business, is shutting down
- all development operations effective this date.
-
- * Please read on about product support *
-
- Many factors are involved in this decision but before I give some of
- those details, I would like to express my sincere thanks to ALL Amiga users,
- Dealers and other people who have supported our efforts.
-
- TTR started out as a small company dedicated to the Amiga. TTR grew to a
- well established company with many products that were second to none.
-
- Circumstances beyond the control of the company or its employees contrib-
- uted to TTR's demise. No one person or situation caused the problems
- the company ran into.
-
- The main reason for the decision to shut down TTR was cash flow. In the
- last (6) six months, TTR lost more money on accounts that defaulted than
- it could handle. Combine this with slow sales due to the recession and
- some internal employee problems and you have the making of a company in
- trouble. We sincerely hope that other companies who are going through
- the same thing we did, are able to hang on a bit longer or are able to
- come up with ways to collect on monies they may be owed. Amiga
- developers are becoming a rare breed. We hope they do not die out
- altogether!
-
- On a lighter side, because of the popularity of many of TTR's products,
- most of the TTR's products will be picked up and fully supported by
- other vendors! Within the next two weeks, information on what products,
- who is now carrying them, and how to obtain support and upgrades on those
- products will be posted on the nets and passed on to the major Amiga
- magazines. These products have been picked up and will be supported:
-
- WMS V3.0 Amiga
- WMS V3.0 Pc&Windows
- 4-Get-It! Amiga
- Thromulus Amiga
- Diamond Store Series including: DAT, SCSI Tape and Floptical
- Abandoned Places Amiga
- Under Pressure Amiga
- Rak 500, Rak 2000, Rak 3000: Amiga Rack mount systems
- Sapphire 020 Accelerator Amiga
-
- Other TTR products may join the list, however we have no information on
- their status at this time.
-
- Very shortly I will have address and phone information on where these
- products will be supported and will post this information.
-
- Again I would like to thank EVERYONE who has supported us. We apologize
- for ANY inconvenience this has, may or will cause. If it could be
- different, we all would wish it so.
-
- I would like to make one last statement.... If you really like your
- Amiga, support your dealers and developers. They are the ones that make
- it happen. If you have problems with a product, give them a chance to
- resolve it for you. Work with them not against them. There not many
- dedicated Amiga developers out there. One person can literally destroy
- the reputation of a company. We know, it happened to us.
-
- * Product Support *
-
- TTR's offices will be open for the next two business weeks. If you
- would like more information on this or have questions, please do not
- hesitate to contact us. We will continue to offer support here until
- other vendors have completed the transistion of TTR's products into
- their companies.
-
- for Support and questions please call (608) 277-8071 Voice and (608)
- 277-8073 Fax. Our BIX conference will remain open during this time
- period as well.
-
- From all the programmers, artists and other employees of TTR, we wish
- you all well and good luck in the future!
-
-
- Thank You.
