- Just as there are fewer and fewer programs that will rin on an XT with 5
- 1/4" floppies and no hard drive (and 256K memory...), I would HOPE that modern
- Amoga programs and upgrades make use of the capabilities of the newer, more
- powerful machines. A 7MHx 68000 with floppies just doesn't cut it as a "modern"
- computer (and don't tell me how many millions were sold and are still in use -
- I'd say 10 times that number or more XTs were sold!).
- My complaint is just the opposite - almost every Amiga program I've seen
- (including CAD programs, "advanced" WPs, etc.) are designed to run on an Amiga
- with a 7 MHz 68000, no hard drive, 1 Meg memory, and no "flicker-fixer" (i.e.
- you have to work at getting 640x400). In the MSDOS world, even the GAMES are
- more advanced than that ( most require a hard drive, and many do not run on
- CGA)
- It's time Amigoids got into the nineties.
