  10. Aaargh!  Excuse me while I scream and twitch a lot.  Anyway, Thad's
  11. message came in time to stop me typing in twelve pages of ping client
  12. code from Steven's network book.  Maybe later...

  14. I'm trying to debug a system I put together on the cheap, using PC/IP;
  15. as I know little about ethernet, this is something of an intellectual
  16. challenge.  Once I've got it going, and know it works under MSDOS,
  17. then I can start porting it to Minix...

  19. Thanks for the prompt reply.  BTW, someone was asking about repairing
  20. a combo board with a duff RS-232 driver.  I bought a board knowing a
  21. port was dead, and hoping that it was the driver.  They are standard
  22. 1488/89s, and pretty accessible.  It took 15 minutes or so to trace
  23. the circuit, and another 15 to remove the chip and solder in a socket.
