  12. I just got a 3b1, and I'm trying to get it all set up. Everything seems
  13. to work fine, except I'm having some problems with the phone. It
  14. recognizes when I pick up the handset and when an incoming call comes,
  15. but I can't dial out using either the Phone Manager or cu (or uucp, for
  16. that matter). The phone manager says that the phone is disconnected, and
  17. can't go active unless I pick up the handset. When I try to pick up the
  18. handset and then dial, the dial tone gets immediately cut off. The Modem
  19. passes diagnostics, and the Dialing diagnostics seem to work too.

  21. I'm running ver. 3.51. Any ideas?
