  34. Indeed not.  The State of Ohio passed a law last month the forbids
  35. anyone from using the term `engineer' in their title or description
  36. unless:
  37.  
  38.     (1) They are licensed by a state recognized licensing board.
  39.     (2) They graduated from an ABET accredited department of
  40.         engineering.  
  41.  
  42. Note that ABET is the accreditation organization for *engineering*
  43. departments; CSAB (I think is the acronym) is the accrediation
  44. organization for Computer Science departments.  For those of you
  45. planning to live in the state of Ohio and getting your degree from a
  46. Computer Science department, you will have legal problems if you call
  47. yourself a `software engineer' and do not become a licensed engineer.
