- All of the pc's here are using a SUN 3 as a file server.
- The nfs and tcpip software we are using is Beame&Whiteside ver 2.3.
-
- Is it possible to cache the remote drive letters?
- I've tried several disk caches (pc-cache, hyperdisk, smartdrive4.0)
- and they all seem to intercept disk calls at a level below where
- B&W intercepts them. Thus the caches can't intercept calls
- to the remote drive letters.
-
- Do other pc networks (novell, lantastic etc) have this same problem?
- Is there a disk cache that can solve this problem?
-
- If there is a more appropriate news group for this please advise.
