- Hi.
-
- I'm aware of lpr clients that allow network-connected PCs to print to
- lpd servers (NCSA). These programs work well and allow resource sharing
- with PCs.
-
- However, I'd like to be able to print to remote printers transparently
- (from the DOS user's point of view). In other words, I'm looking for a
- TSR that hooks into one of the normal DOS devices (PRN, LPTn:) and
- communicates over the network via the lpr/lpd protocol. This would
- allow me to share our HPGL and Postscript printers with our DOS machines
- more effectively.
-
- I should mention that I'm not a DOS user but Unix hacker.
-
- Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'll post a summary.
