-
- I have gotten IBMTOKEN.COM (Crynwr) to work with simutaneous Novell 3.11
- server access.
-
- For a router I am using PCROUTE assembled for PacketDrivers on both
- sides. On the token-ring side I am using IBMTOKEN.COM and on the
- ethernet side I am using 3c523 (Crynwr). I am using a PS/2 model 50
- to do the routing (Microchannel Machine).
-
- I am having a few interesting problems!
-
- First all of the microchannel mechines with (4/16) cards are working OK.
- All of the AT-bus machines with 4MB cards worked also. (At least all of
- them that I tried.)
-
- The AT-buss mechines with (4/16) cards don't work! Actually They will
- work if I use the ip number 192.198.4.7 but none of the others that I
- have tried will work ( i.e 192.198.4.13 ).
- If I telnet with 192.198.4.7 to a mechine and then quit, change IP
- number to 192.198.4.13 then I can telnet to that same mechine and
- login again but I can't telnet to any others.
-
- When not doing this and trying to telnet using CUTCP it hangs at screen
- just after it makes the TCP connection ( The screen where the login prompt
- would come up at).
-
- I have several Microchannel machines working with NO problems. I only
- tried one AT-bus machine with a 4MB card and it was working until I
- switched to 4/16 MB card. I do still have my simutaneous Netware access
- on these cards.
-
- I have also noticed a bug in Novell's Lansup Driver v2.62 which
- conflicts with IBMTOKEN.COM but v2.60 works fine.
-
- Routing with the PC is only a tempoary solution for us but surpriseingly
- enough It worked (Sort of!).
-
- I am also interested in how you are routing because that is probally the
- cause of the problem. Also any other suggestions for fine-tuneing the
- router would be helpfull.
-
- Also, If you know of a configuration for Novell which will route these
- packets could you please email a copy to me. So far we have been unable
- to get our Novell 3.11 server to route the packets properly.
