  13. I'm trying to put up CAP 6.0 with 100 patches on
  14. a DECstation 3100 (MIPS) running Ultrix 4.2A, which
  15. is one of the upgrades to Ultix 4.2. I've configured
  16. it for Ethertalk Phase 2, as I have successfully done
  17. for a sun4 running SunOS 4.1.1. It compiles and almost
  18. runs. When I start aarpd, it runs and configures itself
  19. and then atis finds the bridgenode (fastpath 5). But now
  20. if I run aarptest and ask about other nodes (like, say
  21. the sun 4 running CAP), it fails to get an address for
  22. the sun. If I look at the ethernet traffic, I see the
  23. decstation aarping for the Sun and the Sun responding,
  24. but somehow the info isn't trickling all the way back
  25. into the Decstation. I have done the pfconfig ln0 +copyall
  26. and have tried both with ULT42PFBUG (whatever its called)
  27. defined and undefined with seemingly similar results.

  29. I was told that this was discussed in this group recently,
  30. but needless to say I missed it. Does CAP60+pl100 really
  31. work on a 4.2 Ultrix DECstation? The patches 101-126 don't
  32. seem to address and Ultrix related problems, is there some
  33. other twiddle I need?
