- I have 2 copies of NFS/Share that I received when I bought Shiva
- FastPath5s. When I received the copy, it was an old version and when I
- called Intercon about upgrade, I got a very good respond. A week or
- so, after I registered the program, I received an update version 1.1.1 free.
-
- I installed NFS/Share 1.1.1 immidiately discovered conflict with
- my PageMaker file. It scared me for a while because my perfectly done
- pagemaker file is no longer openable and the error says it was
- damaged. When I removed NFS/Share and restarted my mac, PageMaker did not
- complain and my file opened with no problem. So I dump the NFS/Share
- into my Trash can and keep the original program somewhere in my BUGGY
- box. I have not used it since then and told everyone this same story.
-
- What scared me most is the possibility that other programs may also
- have conflict with NFS/Share and there is no way for me to find out.
- Imagine finding out in the morning that your file is DAMAGED and you
- need it.
-
- I contacted Intercon and apparently Intercon already knew about the
- problem but FAILED to inform its users or provide update.
-
- That was the beginning of 1992. I am still waiting for upgrade and a
- working version of NFS/Share.
