- Thanks to all who replied concerning my questions about the contributed
- CAP applications "lwrename" and "printqueue".
-
- The best answers were:
-
- 1) "...what is the format of the "lwrename.list" file..."
-
- --> David Hornsby (djh@cs.mu.OZ.AU) -- The format of the file is
- password<TAB_CHAR>printername.
- But lwrename works for the printers in
- the current/default zone only.
-
-
- 2) "...I've been unsuccessful in getting printqueue (on the CAP host)
- and PQueueDA (on the Macs) working..."
-
- --> Jeroen Scheerder (Jeroen.Scheerder@phil.ruu.nl) --
-
- Jeroen pointed out that the "old" PQueueDA (for the Mac) looked in
- the system folder for the LaserWriter driver. Under System 7, the
- LaserWriter driver is, by default, in the Extensions folder...and that
- is why I could not make PQueueDA work (yes, I'm using System 7).
- Jeroen also QUITE graciously shipped me his "new and improved" version
- of PQueueDA that works with either System 6 or System 7 and provides
- a pull-down menu of printer queues to watch. I hope he can be persuaded
- to contribute this to the "keepers of CAP" so that all may benefit from
- his talents.
