  18. Never do a kill -9 unless you have to.

  20. To immediately shutdown an aufs volume, send it a "kill -HUP"
  21.   (same as a kill -1). This will remove it from the appleshare
  22.   as well. Sending a plain "kill" will start a 5 minute shutdown
  23.   count.
  24. Same thing for the lwsrv process. Send it a "kill -HUP" and it
  25.   should disappear from both sides.
