- The man page is wrong or at least misleading. The drive itself does
- not support this, so the driver clearly can not do so. The 8200 allows
- writing at BOT, EOD, or the BOT side of a long filemark (I think Sun
- defaults to long FM's, but they may not). The 8500 additionally allows
- writing at the EOT side of filemark, but still doesn't allow arbitrary
- overwrite. There are a number of technical reasons for this, most of
- them reasonably good (i.e., it isn't some arbitrary decision).
