  43. The   "Heinz Nixdorf Symposium"   is a series of workshops organized by the 
  44. Heinz Nixdorf Institute, the interdisciplinary research center for computer
  45. science and technology of the University of Paderborn.
  46.  
  47. The potentials  of  parallel computing  form a great challenge for research 
  48. and development in the fields of computer science as well as for the users.
  49.  
  50. That is why the three-day symposium focusses on "Parallel Architectures and 
  51. their Efficient Use". Current developments in the area of parallel computing
  52. and their applications shall be discussed and future perspectives presented.
  53.  
  54. Leading experts of parallel computing have already committed themselves to

  61. A public day for a wider scientifically interested audience on November 11th
  62. is part of the workshop. Five scientists of those listed above have agreed
