  14. I would like to apologize in advance, if this is the wrong place to
  15. post this mesage.

  17. We just try to connect the Sun SPARCstations and IBM PCs to the 
  18. IBM 3090 machine (50 miles away) through TCP/IP interconnections.
  19. We can telnet/ftp to this IBM machine, however, some packages on
  20. the machine required the 3090 console mode.

  22. We try to figure out the ways for tailoring our workstations and PCs
  23. to simulate the 3090 consoles, but fail. So we think, maybe someone
  24. out there have the similar experience and would be kind enough to 
  25. drop us the notes.

  27. I recalled that some Supercomputer centers in USA did install the
  28. IBM 3090 models (such as Cornell National Supercomputer Facility).
  29. So I suppose maybe someone in these units did connect the Sun
  30. workstations and IBM PC to their 3090 machines.
