Hello group,

    Ive got a sick disk (RD54).  Ive just upgraded to V5.5-1 and still
can't get ANALYZE/DISK[/REPAIR] to run on the disk; it goes into an infinite
loop somwhere in its processing.  No errors are reported via SHOW ERRORS, but
none the less, ANALYZE dies, as does DISKEEPERs DAU/FULL for the disk.

    So, until I get some patch for ANALYZE (or a clue), I have no way of
getting rid of files with backlink pointers to null (ie. []) and flushing
files that are marked for delete.  I was told by DEC that BACKUP flushes the
file cache, but that is toooooo slow on my machine.

    Does any one have some code that will force the flush?  Also, has any
one written some code that will run through INDEXF.SYS and tell me all the
files with backlink pointers to NULL, and maybe even enters them in SYSLOST?
If I can at least get the FIDs for the lost files I would be better off than I
am now.
