  14. A few months ago, there was a discussion in comp.os.vms about the
  15. distribution of the sources for programs that accompanied articles
  16. published in _VAX Professional_ magazine.

  18. Starting with the current (new) issue (August 1992), all program
  19. sources for _VAX Professional_ articles will be available from a
  20. special file server here at WKU.

  22. For more information about the _VAX Professional_ file server, send
  23. the command HELP in the *body* of a mail message to
  24. VAX-PRO@WKUVX1.BITNET.

  26. Note: there is no charge for these files, and you do not have to have
  27. a subscription to _VAX Professional_ to receive the files.  However,
  28. the articles are frequently the only documentation for the source
  29. listings, so a subscription to the magazine would be helpful.

  31. The VAX-PRO file server is a free service of Western Kentucky
  32. University and Professional Press.  As many of you know, my only
  33. affiliation with Professional Press is as a regular author. However, I
  34. saw a need for wider distribution of the programs and the _VAX
  35. Professional_ editor agreed, hence the server.  We hope you find it
  36. useful.  If you'd like to contact Professional Press regarding the
  37. file server, please direct your e-mail to Karen Detwiler at
  38. detwiler@proeast.propress.com.  Technical problems with the file
  39. server should be directed to me.
