- We use CMU/TEK IP here since two years. It is cheap (only some hundredt $)
- and works fairly well, but it is not an product like Mulitinet.
-
- We use Telnet, remote printing (the SUNs are using the laserwriters on our
- Apple Talk network over the VAX), FTP and so on. The unix boxes are our
- nameservers. NFS on CMU/TEK IP is currently not well working but should do
- soon.

- we use PMDF from Innosoft as our SMTP mailer on the VAX. It is a verry good
- pakage. It does translating from SMTP (over CMU, UCX, IP over DECnet and many
- others) to VMS Mail, DECnet Mail, PSI Mail, MRG, Printers and others) and vica
- versa. The product has a verry good suport and isn't expensive. Ask
- sales@inosoft.com for more information. (I don't work for Innosoft, I am only a
- statisfied user of their product)

- ANU News is rather slow as a NNTP client, it always loads down the list of all
- newsgroups with the counters of messages. We use VMS NEWS from B. Onasch
- another solution may by NEWSRDR from Matt Madiosn (spelling??)

- Common solution would be NFS, it's available on all systems. If you need nice
- interfaces on the PC side look for PCSA from DEC.
