- How suitable is OS/2 2.0 for data aquisition tasks?
-
- Is it stable enough that, for example, people can work on the machine for
- days while data is being gathered, without crashing it?
-
- Can a program running in a DOS-box do hardware I/O, so present data
- aquisition programs can be used? Could the environment of a DOS-box
- modified to allow this, maybe?
-
- Is it possible to incorporate MS-DOS *.LIB - files into OS/2 device
- drivers? How difficult would the interface be to write?
-
- How is file sharing arranged? Could I, for example, read from an output
- file using GNUPLOT while that file is being written to? Could that file
- be opened for appending while it is being read by another program?
