- I potentially have to port a code that currently runs on a MIPS
- RISC CPU UNIX workstation, using an X/Motif GUI, to an IBM PS/2
- running OS/2 and Presentation Manager. The code has both C and
- Fortran in it. I have the following questions:
-
- Does the OS/2 Fortran compiler support double
- precision (64 bit) floating point?
-
- Is the C compiler on OS/2 ANSI C ?
-
- Does the OS/2 loader have any quirks when it
- comes to loading objects produced from both C
- and Fortran?
-
- How does the Presentation Manager widget set
- compare with the X/Motif set?
-
- What is the graphics library available on the
- OS/2 and how does it compare with Xlib?
-
- Does OS/2 allign allocated memory on
- even word boundaries?
-
- I currently don't have access to a PS/2 and won't in anytime
- shortly, otherwise I would be able to answer these questions
- myself. Any other information/experience you can provide me
- would be most appreciated. You can e-mail your response
- directly to me.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Mark
