  32. The copy I've seen did NOT come with the socket libraries. My understanding
  33. is that you have to purchase the "Programming Libraries" as a separate
  34. package for TCP/IP 1.2. Anyway I searched the hard drive just in case and 
  35. the only *.lib files have nothing to do with TCP/IP and the only *sock*.*
  36. files are header files that came with GCC. Unless I'm missing something I
  37. think the assumption that 1.2 has a socket library is incorrect.
  38.     As for the news reader that came with it. I have NEVER gotten it to
  39. work satisfactorily. I'll read one group and nothing I try allows me to read
  40. any other group. Also, I am of course familiar with gnus.
  41.     Anyway, the question still stands: What happened to the free socket
  42. library someone here was considering writing?
