- Im trying to set up TCP/IP 1.20.1 for a slip only connection and am
- have some problems.
-
- 1. First when booting, after the inet.sys line, I get protocol manager
- not installed. The bookreader docs said it wasn't neccessary for slip
- only connections-is this true? What should my config.sys look like.
-
- REM TCP/IP
- RUN=F:\TCPIP\BIN\CNTRL.EXE
- DEVICE=F:\TCPIP\BIN\INET.SYS
- DEVICE=F:\TCPIP\BIN\IFNDIS.SYS
- SET ETC=F:\TCPIP\ETC
- SET HOSTNAME=Independance
- SET SLIP.COM=COM2
-
- 2. slipcall can't find a sioread socket. I assume this is related to #1.
-
- 3. Can slipcall be made to output some text before looking for the other
- side of the slip connection? I need to type some commands to a terminal
- server.
-
- If anyone has successfully set up a slip connection and can send me
- a sample of their config.sys and *.cmd files, I would be very grateful.
-
- Is anyone at IBM working on the PPP?
