- But this '&~object making' doesn't seem too easy.
-
- For example, despite my looking into 'start',I cannot get things to work
- QUITE right. For example, I want to start kermit in a WINDOW. I seems
- that all the things I try either starts it minimize or fullscrren or
- SOMETHING. Ack!
-
- How does one start a SEAMLESS Windows app fromthe OS/2 command line?
- How do I force a DOS app to pop up in a Window?
-
- I've finally gotten a DOS Cli window to pop up.
- I made a 'dosbox.cmd' which says 'start /dos /win' in it. It is
- an unfortunate workaround, but get me a windows DOS cli eventually (at first
- there is a 'dosbox.cmd' window. I hate having that OS/2 cmd floating
- around extra.
-
- Isn't there some default 'I want a command.com, but in a WINDOW by default?'
-
- Hmm. Is it possible to having this desktop pop up menu to simply
- 'point' to an OBJECT o nthe desktop? Like, for the SO/2 system Editor,
- pop up Os/2 sys editor as if I clicked on the icon, saying 'OS/2 System Editor'
- on the top and everything? Also, I noticed that the Sys Editor defaults
- on 'starting' in the directory from which it was launched when you 'open'
- a file. Is there was way to make the root directory the default place to look?
- I'd hate to keep a copy of it in the root directory to accomplish this...
-
- Anyway, I'll just live with my Windows comm program and OS/2 System Editor
- as shoadows on my desktop.
