  12. In my case, it appears that the Aladdin communication software from
  13. GEnie sometimes causes this.  (I assume you refer to the situation
  14. where the right button on the desktop does not evoke the menu with the
  15. shutdown option?)  Unfortunately, not every use of Aladdin causes this
  16. failure.

  18. I am running standard defaults on everything, because I haven't
  19. bothered to learn much about the innards of this thing.
