- You can run the S3 cards with normal VGA drivers. (The S3 is an enhanced vga
- chip, with an enhanced mode for SVGA and H/W line draw etc). Changing video
- drivers is sometimes simple (Same card), sometomes hard (Changing to a
- different card).

- I would say get the card now (Contrary to public opinion, I have found no speed
- difference between the S3 and the ET4000 using the std VGA drivers at std VGA
- res.).
