- I think that you are out in left field for trying to pin this one on OS/2:
- I measured the times for WP 5.1 for DOS to load the OS/2 root directory
- README file (76kb), on two machines:

- OS/2, 386SX, 5Mb RAM, 16MHZ clock, 1 minute 35 sec
- DOS+Win 3.1, 486DX, 8Mb RAM, 50MHz clock, 1 minute 50 sec

- Nothing else was running on either machine.

- I can see why IBM doesn't think that this is an OS/2 bug!
