  27. open settings then
  28. chose MENU, then
  29. chose the "Open" item in the top "window" and the top "Settings" bar becomes
  30. active (immediately to the right), then
  31. click on "settings", then
  32. change the "default action" to whichever view you want (icon, tree or detail).
