  13. I use CKERMIT as my comm program under os/2.  I would like to use the
  14. OS/2 port of Zmodem for downloads.  I have ckermit set up to use com3:
  15. on my machine.  Everything works fine until I attempt to shell out to
  16. the command prompt from kermit and fire up zmodem.  It insists that
  17. the port cannot be opened.  I indicate in the command line switches
  18. for zmodem to use com3, disable the carrier detect, baud rate etc,
  19.  etc, but still get a message that the port cannot be opened.
  20.   
  21. If I fire up zmodem in its terminal mode, everything also works fine.
  22. I saw the recent posts for the patched gacomm drivers, and replaced
  23. the old com drivers with the new ones.

  25. Anyone have any suggestions? (Other than get a new comm program?)
