- Here's an odd one I just had happen. A few days ago, I decided to
- clean up my disk. I used the tree view of one of my drives, and
- dragged d:\packages\pmfrac (the PM fractal program's directory) into the
- shredder.
-
- Today, I opened up my "Shareware OS/2" folder, and realized I hadn't
- deleted the program object for PmFrac. Also, its icon was gone,
- replaced with the default (makes sense, the .exe was gone). The
- problem, however, was that the object became un-deletable. Dragging
- it to the shredder gave the "No" zero-with-a-slash-through-it symbol.
- Under its menu, [Delete] was gone. I had no way to get rid of this
- object, and the online help told me nothing.
-
- Why did that object behave like that?
-
- I did come up with a bizarre but successful (I think!) solution. I
- selected [Move], told it to go to a direct path, and gave it
- C:\Nowhere as the destination. Seemed to work like a charm.
-
- Or did it? Anyone have any pointers as to a possibly better solution?
-
- Thanks,
- Michael
