- In the August "Inside OS/2" there's an article about defragmenting FAT
- partitions. It suggests making EA DATA. SF non-hidden while defragmenting
- so that it can be defragmented. This made me wonder about whether other
- hidden OS2 files are movable. I'm interested for two reasons. First,
- to get maximum defragmentation, and second to be able to backup and
- restore without reinstalling OS/2. What can people tell me about the movability
- following hidden files ?
-
- \os2\system\boot.os2
- \os2\bitmap\aaaaa.exe
- \os2\bitmap\aaaaa.met
- \io.sys
- \msdos.sys
- \ea data. sf
- \os2boot
- \os2ldr
- \wp root. sf
- \os2krnl

- Also, in the documentation for EABACKUP, it says that EABACKUP is unneccesary
- if your backup/restore preserves the EA pointer in the directory entry (and
- of course you restore a whole disk EA DATA. SF included). Does anyone know
- whether any or all versions of Fastback have such a property ?
