- Subject: S3 Drivers - A Question
- Lines: 15
-
- Having bought my S3 card in late May, I'm still waiting for the announcement
- of OS/2 2.0 drivers for my Orchid F1280. And I'm not the only one |
-
- Now, before I start thinking of getting rid of my Orchid and buying an ATI
- Graphics Ultra, I would like to know if the Orchid will provide the same
- accelleration facilities to OS/2 as it does to Windows, once the drivers
- will be there (in September as I read recently) ? Forgive me if this is
- obvious, I'm not an expert on this. This reason why I'm in doubt is that in
- a recent posting of someone who contacted Orchid, they said the Fahrenheit
- was designed to speed up Windows and wondered why one would buy it with
- the intention to run OS/2. In another posting it was suggested that Orchid
- was awaiting the release of the 32 bit engine.
