- I am trying to run a DOS batch file from a REXX script. The problem that I
- face is that the batch file is attempting to log in to a netware server
- using the private services of the netware requester for OS/2. This would
- work, except that when OS/2 creates the DOS window for the batch file to run
- in, it creates it with the default settings for all of the session parameters
- including lastdrive=z. This does not leave any drives for netware. I tried
- setting lastdrive=e in config.sys which fixed the problem for the DOS sessions
- but made it impossible to map network drives from within OS/2. Any ideas on
- how I could fix this?
-
- One solution would be to execute a program object from the REXX script rather
- than a dos batch file. The DOS program object could then have its DOS settings
- set before hand and it would just work. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to
- figure out how to do that. Any suggestions on this solution?
-
- Thanks for taking the time to read this note.
