- Not exactly. IBM expects that OS/2 2.0 will run on systems that have
- autoparking hard drives, since almost anything beyond 30 MB does. In
- my opinion it is a reasonable expectation.
-
- However, I have a kludgey workaround for you. Create a bootable DOS
- floppy diskette (FORMAT A: /S from native DOS). Copy the PARK program
- to the diskette. Put PARK in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file on the floppy disk
- as the last line.
-
- Then, after you Shutdown from OS/2 (and get the message saying
- shutdown has completed), put this "park diskette" in your floppy drive
- (Drive A) and press CTRL-ALT-DEL. When it finishes, turn off your
- computer and put your "park diskette" in a safe place for use the next
- time you want to shut off your computer.
