- True, but at least I do get one full screen DOS session, currently under
- os\2 I get finger exercise pushing the reset button.
-
- I a bit p*ssed, after all in IBM's docs it clearly states that os\2
- works with Tseng based video cards. THIS IS NOT TRUE. It doesn't work
- with ET3000 based cards (well) and a seperate patch is required to get
- it to work with ET4000 based cards. This certainly suggests that they
- did not testing on this type of card. Someone, decided that there were
- a lot to Tseng based cards out there so ... they 'claimed' it would
- work. Normal people call this a lie, car salesmen call it a deal and
- corporations consider this SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
-
- IBM's order takers should have a screening procedure ... something like
- this:
- Q1) Is any of your equipment over 1 yr old?
- Y) You should know that os\2 will probably have difficulty with it.
- N) os\2 might work with it, do you feel lucky?
- Y) Sell quick
- N) Tell them what a pleasant voice they have.
-
- <sigh> I'm dreaming ... any corp. who was honest about what they were
- doing would proably be out of business in a quater.
-
- Not a particularly happy os\2 camper ...
