- I have been trying to install OS/2 on my system for a number of
- days. It is a 386-40 with 4MB of memory (I know). I have two hard
- drives, a 44MB and a 130MB, and am installing from 5 1/4" disks.
-
- The problem is that I can not get beyond the first disk in the
- installation procedure. I am told to remove the installation disk
- and insert disk 1, but I tried on another system and I saw that it
- asks to press enter at the time when the disks have to be switched.
-
- In an attempt to solve the problem, I have changed the floppy drive
- for another one, the drive cord for another one, and the controller
- card for another one (these were from the other tested system).
- None of these changes were helpful. I have also attempted to install
- from 3 1/2" disks.
-
- Please help. Anybody with similar experiences or a solution to my
- problem, please mail me or post to this news group.
