- I got the following error message Sunday:
-
- TRAP000e ERRCD=0000 ERRACC=**** ERLIM=********
- [other stuff left out for brevity]
- #0160:fff6452b-000 d:a52b
- 60000, 9084
- 048600b4
- Internal revision 6.412, 92/06/02 .....
-
- I was advised to call a service representative. After shutting
- off the machine (It didn't recognize CTRL-ALT-DEL], I tried to
- reboot and got a hdd controller error. I tried booting from a
- floppy (OS2) and it literally hung. All the while the red light
- was on. I turned the machine off again, and tried booting from a
- dos5 floppy. Fdisk couldn't find the disk. Somewhere in there I
- also inspected my CMOS settings, which were ok. On a final try
- (I think without the dos floppy, I got 2 beeps and a hard disk
- failure message.)
-
- Finally, before deciding to throw a brick at the thing, I just
- turned it on again, and got a perfect WPS, just as if nothing had
- happened.
-
- The system:
-
- No name 486-33DX, 8meg, 128 CACHE, 200meg Maxtor IDE, AMI BIOS.
-
- Anybody got a clue? Including the IBM service number?
-
- Thanks.
