  25. Actually, I get the same error on LPT1, unless I boot OS/2 with the printer
  26. online!  I used to boot with the printer turned off, and IBM support had no
  27. ideas...they kept telling me that my cable must be bad, etc.  Of course, my
  28. cable is just fine, it is probably another OS/2 bug :-(  Possibly OS/2 doesn't
  29. like my generic LPT/COM/IDE card.

  31. Printer is an Epson L-1000, which is like the LQ510 and LQ850.
