- I have been experiencing problems running full screen DOS sessions.
- I have a Tseng 4000 based video card. I am running the Orchid 1024x768x16
- driver and I've run SVGA ON. My problem comes from games like WOLF 3D or
- another game called Breach 2. The problem is if I CNTL-ESC to the desktop
- from the game (which I start in Full Screen Mode), and then return to
- the game, it looks like the video card stays in 1024x768. I get 2 versions
- of the game screen, each about 1/8 the size of the screen. I've tried
- setting things like VIDEO_SWITCH_NOTIFICATION, and the other VIDEO settings,
- but the video mode of the game is never restored properly. Any ideas? I
- can play the game, but the image is tiny!
-
- Another problem in with the mouse. Breach 2 is an older game, but it
- recognizes a mouse. I've run it from DOS 5.0 and it worked fine. Under OS/2
- the mouse pointer doesnt appear to XOR with the background properly, and
- instead leaves black boxes behind as it moves. I have a micro$oft compatible
- mouse which has worked with everything else.
