- Try the following:
-
- 1. start a full screen DOS session
- 2. run your vmode utility that came with the card
- 3. select, under monitor, the correct one for the crystal scan
- 4. exit vmode, type "vmode monitor"
- 5. now run "svga on" from the command prompt
- 6. exit the DOS session and do a shutdown with the
- Orchid display.dll installed
-
- This should work as I have the exact same set-up except I am using the
- 800x600x16 mode driver from the same set. Also, I recommend *not* using
- the 256 color driver as the color palette is flacky and is also very slow.
- Hopefully, this fall, we will have svga drivers for the tseng based cards
- from IBM that are more stable, faster, support seamless windows, have a
- better selection of fonts for windowed command lines, etc.
-
- Hope this helps,
-
